Settled in a quiet corner of UP Town Center along Katipunan Avenue, Nono’s is a gift from Chef Baba Benedicto. It’s a place known for serving comfort food and decadent pastries, but ordering a latte there is no mistake either.
Nono’s is a perfect restaurant for a relaxing Sunday brunch with loved ones. The taste of the coffee is as comforting as being at home in your parent’s house. Nono’s takes its name from the Chef’s father, after all, and so the feeling of being at home is intentional. Their mishmash collection of menu items fit perfectly with the beverage menu. The renowned Fried Truffle Cheese Wontons and coffee we ordered arrived at the same time and are a welcome pairing. Since the mozzarella’s flavor wasn’t overwhelming and the truffle oil was balanced with a honey drizzle, having it with coffee was well suited. The first sip brings a familiar, dark coffee taste and is mellowed by pillowy, foamy steamed milk. It seems they should be known for even more than the glowing reputation they’ve already earned.
