Single Origin’s 18-hour Cold Brew is a fitting drink choice if you find yourself in Bonifacio High Street. Made with their beans called “Bliss“, the description on the menu notes hints of dried fruit, almonds, and semi-sweet chocolate. On the tongue were a bit of brightness at the start and then the intensity of the coffee slightly faded, into like a milder drink. Not exactly what you would expect from a brew that took 18 hours to make.
We asked our server where the beans were from and they informed us that their coffee was roasted in LA by the world renowned specialty coffee roaster La Mill. And based on their recommendation for snack food, we tried their beef skewers, which were really tender and flavorful. Truffle fries, one of their best sellers, were pleasantly savory. In general, the cold brew was a good partner to the snacks we ordered, but maybe a lemonade or craft soda would have been a more satisfactory choice if you just wanted to cool off on a hot afternoon in the city.
