The longest-running barista competition in the Philippines, The 13th Philippines Grand Barista Cup will be happening this coming September 13. The finals will be taking place at the stage of the Asian Food Expo (AFEX) at the World Trade Center and as long as you’re in the venue, you’re welcome to come watch the event. Six barista finalists will be competing against each other. Involving barista from prestigious cafes such as Magnum Opus and Chapter coffee roastery.
Preliminary judges include Ian Paguiligan, Jay Ross Roldan, and Treykin Greigh, all from the Philippines.
Finals judges include Marco Poidomani from Italy, Fernando Menendez from Spain, Vanessa Caceres from Singapore, and Fabian Fredriksson from Sweden.

To launch the event, members of the press were invited to volunteer to learn latte art techniques with the help of latte art champions. There was also an impromptu latte art throwdown for champion baristas in which they were able to win prizes.
