It’s a global tribe of brewers. Many times we’re using the same tools, using coffees often from the same farms, practicing the ethos of specialty coffee. Maybe we see eye to eye on a very specific detail and that builds bridges. We go to so many shops and so many towns using the same V60 and Brewista kettle. We see it over and over again. You feel that each of these baristas are connected by this one thing; pouring water through this spiral over some coffee.
Inch Coffee is right next to a beautiful park near the beach. This shop has all the toys in terms of equipment and cool stuff you can have in a cafe but something we really liked here was that we ordered a pour-over and they ended up brewing it on the simplest of devices: the plastic V60.
Barista culture in this cafe was really fantastic, they wanted to know you and they wanted to talk about coffee. Traveling there as baristas ourselves, they of course wanted to know about our hometown and the other places we had been and what we thought about what they were doing. You can sit and talk coffee with these guys for hours.
